Description
Real Estate Agent Safety Course
Do you think as a real estate agent your job is more, less or as dangerous as a police officer or firefighter?
The answer is going to surprise you.
The National Association of Realtors states that over 70% of their agents have never attended a safety
course. However, that same report shows that for every 100 realtors, 4 of them WILL be a victim of some
type of a criminal attack.
The goal of this course is to inform and educate real estate agents on how to stay safe on the job.
The overall objective of this course is to identify risks that real estate agents face and provide them with
the tools necessary to mitigate those risks.
Course Objectives:
1. Recognize the unique aspects of your job that put you at risk of a violent encounter. Why agents
are at risk.
2. Learn to avoid violent encounters by developing an acute awareness of your surroundings. Lean
how to develop your situational awareness and threat indicators.
3. Differentiate between “looking” and “seeing,” and understand how to detect threat indicators
early.
4. Recognize the physical and psychological effects you might experience during a dynamic critical
incident.
5. Learn how to employ various defensive strategies to mitigate an unwanted encounter before it
escalates.
6. Recognize the defensive options — both armed and unarmed — you can use to help keep you
safe.
Length of course is approximately 2 hr.
Course presented by is presented by a USCCA Certified Instructor.
