Cyber Crimes for Realtors: This one-hour CE course educates real estate professionals on the growing threat of cybercrime in the real estate industry and the practical steps necessary to protect clients, transactions, escrow funds, and business operations. Through real-world fraud scenarios and industry examples, attendees will learn how cybercriminals target Realtors®, title companies, lenders, and consumers through email hacking, wire fraud, phishing schemes, counterfeit checks, malware attacks, and fraudulent impersonation tactics.

The course examines common real estate cyber scams including fraudulent wire instruction changes, fake cash purchaser schemes, escrow fraud, duplicate disbursement scams, and compromised email accounts. Attendees will also learn best practices for verifying wiring instructions, recognizing red flags, securing client communications, implementing office procedures, training staff, and reducing liability exposure in increasingly digital transactions.

Designed specifically for today’s real estate environment, this course provides practical risk management strategies to help Realtors® identify suspicious activity, safeguard sensitive information, and better protect consumers from financial loss.

Clearing Title Matters: This one-hour CE course provides Realtors® with a practical understanding of common title defects and the methods used to identify, investigate, and resolve issues that can delay or prevent closing. Through real-world examples and industry guidance, attendees will learn how title companies, attorneys, Realtors®, and sellers work together to clear title matters and protect marketable ownership interests.

Topics include unreleased deeds of trust, judgment liens, bankruptcy implications, heirship and probate concerns, intestate succession, affidavits of heirship, trust and estate issues, lender successor identification, MERS research, and curative tools commonly used in residential transactions. The course also introduces useful public resources and investigative techniques that can assist in resolving clouds on title before closing delays occur.

Designed specifically for real estate professionals, this course helps agents better recognize potential title problems early in the transaction, improve communication with title professionals, reduce closing disruptions, and better educate clients throughout the process.
